About George’s Curios
George’s Curios specialises in the acquisition, research and sale of historical manuscripts, autograph letters, signatures, photographs and ephemera dating principally from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries.
Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, I have been buying and selling historical collectibles for over twenty years and have worked full-time since 2020.
Over that time I have handled many thousands of items, ranging from royal and political correspondence to military letters, literary manuscripts, theatre memorabilia, sporting autographs, photographs, private press material and historical ephemera. Many of the items offered for sale are unique survivals and provide a direct connection to the people, events and institutions that shaped the past.
My particular interest lies in primary source material: letters, documents, signatures and ephemera created at the time of the events they record. Wherever possible, items are researched, catalogued and described with attention to provenance, historical context and collecting interest.
Sales are conducted principally through my eBay shop, where I have built a reputation over many years and received over 8,800 feedback comments with a 99.9% positive rating.
