The 1984 Canon MC (‘Micro Compact’) was built partly as a response to the Olympus XA of 1979. The MC is small by 35mm camera standards of the time, made more so, by the separate clip on / off flash unit. It was a high end, high quality autofocus, with an excellent f2.8, 35mm lens. Not as popular as the XA these days, but possibly a better choice? There was a second & final model in the range, the MC10 of 1985.
