The magnesium bodied, ‘prosumer’ Sony DSC-V1 has a 5.0 Mp CCD sensor, with a Carl Zeiss 34 – 136mm (equiv) 4x optical, 4x digital zoom lens. It can focus from 40 cm (10 cm in macro mode). Like earlier Sony cameras, it has ‘NightShot’ and ‘NightFraming’ modes. It has a pop-up flash and a hot shoe and a 1.5” TFT LCD screen. It uses Memory Stick Pro for storage & a rechargeable NP-FC11 battery.
